Even if you only have a short amount of time to spend on your daily trip, this excursion is still doable! In half a day excursion to cover roughly 5 hours, you will still have the time to visit the beautiful baroque town of Perast opposite on the entrance to the inner bay of Kotor.

Departing from the port of Kotor, a nice scenic drive will take you to the charming village of Perast, one of the coastal gems of Montenegro.

Enjoy a short walking tour in the charming town of Perast for about 30-40 minutes and hear from your guide, the history of this fascinating town. Perast was once home to wealthy seafarers and their families. The sailors from this town were well known for their exceptional skills in maritime trade. On our short walk, in the old town, you will see the cathedral of St. Nicolas, set on a small square with palms and adorned with bronze statues of notable citizens. The manmade island of Our Lady of the Rock will be visited by a boat taxi. 

Despite the fact that Perast only features one main street, this tiny town houses many luxurious palaces from 17^th century, belonging to the most noble and reputed seafarer families of the old times. That waterfront area offers one of the best views to sit for and enjoy a refreshment at one of the cafes lining the street. The walking tour is mainly on flat ground with no uneven surfaces but reasonable mobility is required to be able to board the boat taxi which will take you to the famous island of Our Lady of The Rock. After spending about 30 minutes visiting this island, you will leave Perast and be headed to the Oysters and Mussels Farm “Skoljke Boke” to have a degustation of Oysters and Mussels.

Finally, you will return to Kotor where you will be accompanied by your guide to visit the old town on a short walking tour of 45 minutes. Enjoy strolling through the UNESCO World Heritage site of Kotor which houses one of the best-preserved medieval old towns of the Adriatic.
